Overdose Response Program

Equipping individuals, loves ones, families and community with life-saving skills and resources to effectively respond to overdose medical emergenices and save lives, as part of MPAC's commitment to promoting safety and well-being.

MPAC is an authorized provider for the Maryland Center of Harm Reduction Services Overdose Response Program,

which provides training for individuals, families and community members on how to respond in event of a medical overdose emergency: Attendees of the training will receive information and resources in reference to: 
 

  • Recognize the warning, symptoms and signs of opioid overdose

  • Training on responding to an opioid overdose;

  • The proper use and administration of naloxone;

  • Proper rescue breathing technique;

  • The importance of contacting emergency medical services;

  • The care of an individual after the administration of naloxone; and

  • Information in reference to the Good Samaritan Law
